California Culinary Academy has remained as one of the finest and most reputable California Culinary Institutions  when it comes to the culinary field. The main campus is located at Rhode Island Street, San Francisco, California.

California culinary academy is affiliated with the renowned Le Cordon Bleu which is backed up by over a century of culinary experience and knowledge. Hence, the education and training that CCA provides are also carefully tailored to infuse both the traditional culinary techniques and the modern strategies. CCA and Le Cordon Bleu work hand in hand in providing topmost culinary education, whether through certificate courses or bachelor degrees.

California Culinary Academy History

California Culinary AcademyThe California Culinary Academy was initially established in 1977. Its main mission is to provide proper culinary training and expose students to the actual scenario in hotels and restaurants. The school became popular because of its affiliation with Le Cordon Bleu, which has unquestionable excellence in hospitality education.

It was in 1999 when the institution was placed under Career Education Corporation. CEC provides highly-praised in-campus education and manages over 80 campuses that are offering various levels of education—from diploma and certificate programs to masters and doctoral degrees. It operates in countries such as US, Canada, France and UK.

CCA also provide education and training which are essential for other careers such as in-depth teaching, managing restaurants and other occupations within the culinary fields.

Degrees Offered

There are three primary courses being offered right in the San Francisco campus of California Culinary Academy. These are the Associate Degree in Culinary Arts and Certificate in Baking and Pastry, and Certificate in Culinary Arts. These courses will teach students about culinary fundamentals. The various programs that are being offered aim to allow students to focus on a specific culinary area, especially if they aim to practice the profession.

Le Cordon Bleu finds a way on how to reach out to more people aside from the in-campus programs, . They have made online programs available for people who want to learn more about culinary but their hectic schedule hinders them.

Master Chef Cooking Classes are available for non-professionals for recreational purposes. These short training programs are handled by the expert chefs from Cordon Bleu and covers areas like baking, cooking, decorating cakes, and a whole lot more. This may not be designed for professional practice but it is open for all levels.

Branch Campuses

Le Cordon Bleu has culinary schools across North America for individuals who are not within San Francisco and are unable to enroll in CCA. This is a good thing because there is no need to move into another location just to experience the outstanding programs that are offered by Le Cordon Bleu.

Le Cordon Bleu has 17 branches total. The more popular ones are in Seattle, WA, Orlando, FL, Los Angeles, CA, Las Vegas, NV, Chicago, IL and Boston, MA.
