One Pan Sandwich Ingredients

Think of this one pan sandwich like having everything you love about breakfast all in one bite! All the ingredients of this dish are some of the staples you’d find at your regular breakfast table. But on days when you can’t sit back and enjoy, this recipe will definitely make it easier for you to! The components of your one pan sandwich are easily accessible; seek them out at any supermarket! And what makes it even better is that it’s a wholly adaptable recipe, too. Whether you’re adding or replacing ingredients, you can tailor fit your one pan sandwich to your liking with ease!

Bacon

Ah, the sizzling sound of bacon — isn’t it just music to your ears? Even its fragrant smell cooking over your countertop will make your mouth water and stomach start to growl. For this recipe, 5 strips of CDO Young Pork Bacon will add a salty, savory, and hearty touch to your delicious breakfast sandwich. If you finish frying your bacon and want to do away with some of the grease, you can line a plate with paper towels and allow it to dry off first. This will soak up the excess oil but still maintain your meat’s crispiness.

Bread

Of course, what would a sandwich be without bread? To hold your sandwich together and offer a mild yet tasty contribution of their own, every sandwich quite literally begins and ends with the perfect slice of bread. The easiest bread to source would be the old but gold white bread they sell at every grocery. But feel free to use whatever kind of bread suits your fancy! Whether it’s sourdough, rye, ciabatta, or even good old fashioned pandesal — the sky’s the limit! Whatever will make your one pan sandwich experience all the more enjoyable.

Eggs

How do you like your eggs done in the morning? For this one pan sandwich recipe, we’ll be scrambling our eggs until they’re light, fluffy, and perfect for biting into. Depending on your preference, you can choose to make egg white omelets for your sandwich instead! Alternatively, why stop at just scrambled eggs when you can make an omelet? Combine your favorite ingredients — onions, mushrooms, even cheese — and toss them into your scrambled egg mix. The result will be a delicious egg for a delicious sandwich perfectly made for you!

Mayonnaise and butter

Want that extra rich and tangy goodness? That’s exactly what these ingredients are here for! Mayonnaise will give your sandwich that extra refreshing and creamy taste it needs. Meanwhile, spreading butter over your slices of bread will make it taste even sweeter and delicious once you fry them in your pan! For those who like a little bit more taste, consider adding other condiments to the mix! From the delicious and earthy pesto to some piping hot hot sauce, you’re free to flavor your sandwich up however you like!

Let’s get to making that one pan sandwich together!

Heat a tablespoon of cooking oil in a pan. On a low to medium heat, take 5 strips of CDO Young Pork Bacon and cook a side of them until they become as crispy as you like. Then, turn the bacon over and do the same to the opposite side. When your bacon is cooked all the way through, remove it and chop it into smaller pieces. Set it aside while you prepare the rest of your one pan sandwich.

Beat the eggs until smooth. Add salt to taste (and other spices too, as you please!), then pour your eggs into a pan after heating 2 tablespoons of cooking oil. Scramble your eggs and cook until firmness, before turning it over and cooking the other side, too. In the meantime, spread mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice. Put both bread slices side by side on top of the egg, with the mayonnaise side facing down. On the opposite end, spread butter. Then, flip the egg and bread with a wide spatula, so now it’s the side with butter facing the pan.

One one slice of bread, arrange your CDO Young Pork Bacon strips on your egg. Allow your slices of bread to remain in the pan until the bottom half achieves a gorgeous golden brown. When you’re happy with your sandwich’s shade (and surely already dying to eat), fold one slice of bread atop the other. Remove the sandwich from the pan, slice it into rectangles or triangles — or simply eat it whole!
